Meet the Team

  • Siggi Farris, DVM
    Siggi Farris DVM

Dr. Farris has always had compassion for animals and brought rescue animals home to her parents’ dismay. Therefore, pursuing a career in the veterinary field where she can care for hurt animals and help prevent health issues just seemed natural. She loves creating relationships with her patients and their parents, to helping them understand and manage acute and chronic diseases. She has a passion for dogs and cats and wants to help people take their best care of their pets. Her special interests include Internal Medicine, Emergency/ Critical Care, Preventative Care. She is Feline Friendly and Fear Free Certified.

Dr. Farris grew up in Schwäbisch Gmünd, Germany. She became a Licensed Veterinary Technician in Germany and was planning on attending Munich University College of Veterinary Medicine. Plans changed after doing an internship at a small animal hospital in Alabama and meeting her husband, Justin.

Dr. Farris graduated from Auburn University Montgomery with honors and then earned her DVM at the Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine with summa cum laude. After graduation, she worked with Montgomery Veterinary Associates for 9 years before moving to Charlotte, NC to pursue her dream of opening her own Veterinary Hospital. While River Run Animal Hospital was being built, she worked as medical director of Piedmont Animal Emergency and also as ER veterinarian at Carolina Veterinary Specialists in Charlotte.

Dr. Farris and her husband Justin live in Charlotte, NC with their two sons Finn and Nils. Their furry children include an energetic and lovable Boston Terrier named Nyah, and an elderly, much loved Mini Golden named Aslan. Their household is currently cat free after their senior cat Yeti passed away, but hopefully not for long. In their free time, the Farris Family likes to mountain bike, hike, downhill ski, enjoy the outdoors and spending time together.

  • Dr. Lawson Hardee
    Lawson Hardee, DVM

Dr. Hardee has a passion for veterinary medicine ever since she was able to walk and talk. Animals have always been an integral part of her life and has dedicated herself to caring for them in any way possible. Coming from a medical family background has helped push her to care for the species that do not have a voice for themselves.

Dr. Hardee grew up in Charleston, South Carolina. Where she would eventually like to open her own practice one day. Graduated from Clemson University and then from Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine with her DVM. She moved to Charlotte with her husband Matthew to pursue their careers in veterinary medicine and physical therapy.

Dr. Hardee and her husband Matthew live in Charlotte with their 2 cats Mordecai and Stella. She is hoping to add a dog to their growing family. They have a passion for the outdoors, whether it be the mountains or the ocean. They enjoy hiking, swimming, camping and spending time with friends.
